My goodness I can't believe how long it's been since I posted on my blog. So much has happened since the last post. I moved to a new town and have been happily sewing away. Still struggling with fit issues, but I may have come closer to a better than RTW fit!

Summer is in full swing here in NE Florida and it has been so hot and humid, it feels like you could melt when you step outside. That has inspired me to think about making some simple summer dresses I can just slip on and head out the door in. I have a few patterns to consider. Hopefully I'll have one or two fitted and sewn by the 4th of July!

I have a new hairstyle, having cut off about 18 inches of limp, stringy hair that was not flattering me in any way at all. My mom always had a saying that women over 40 should not have long hair. Since I am now over 50, I think it really applies now!

Here's the new 'do

It's a little longer now, this picture is a couple of months old, but the style is still there. I got new glasses too, but don't have a picture of that.

I found your blog through an OLD post on pattern review. You'd asked for opinions on a Minott book you bought. I have both of her books on fitting bodices and then pants and skirts. I wondered what you thought of them? I'll be teaching a class on pant drafting this fall, and am looking for a text, so that's what brought me here. I do hope you've found some success with fitting...
